Once we fill and keep our 15 players, are they locked in as soon as we post keepers. I have a couple that are in rumors, and want to decide if I keep them or not.
Or are keepers locked just before draft?
Thanks in advance

Keepers will be locked Dec 31st at 11:59pm. So, technically you could lose a keeper if he's traded from your team prior to then.

More or less wait til the last day to post your keepers to prevent potentially losing someone then?
In the scenario you mentioned Paul, say i keep strasburg and he is traded prior to dec 31st to the dodgers. Would the dodgers then be able to keep stras before dec 31st lock in? Would i be able to still make a replacement keeper in the wake of that trade?

Yes, he'd be eligible to be kept on the Dodgers. You would be able to replace him obviously. I think it's safe to set your 15 by middle of December and then adjust as needed if anything happens.

I know it's tricky, but I had to pick a cutoff date of sorts. This was latest I could pick since we've got to start drafting early January.

Forgive me if I've missed this. So if a F/A signs with a team before Dec 31st is he "Keepable" for that team?

Is it 15 keepers? I thought 10 major leaguers and up to 20 minor leaguers. (Also the way I read it it's a hard 10 major leaguers, no more, no less, correct?)

From the "Team Selection" thread... 15 total to start Each owner will be randomly assigned one major league ball club as their own after their league payment has been received. As new owners join more teams will be randomly handed out until we are full. The last remaining AL club and the last remaining NL club will be assigned to the AL commish and NL commish. Trading of clubs is allowed prior to Dec 24th, 2015. By Dec 31st, each owner must select 15 players from their mlb club to start their team with. Players can be from any professional level, but must be found among the extensive database of Fantrax. NOTE: we yield to Fantrax as far as if any players are recently signed or traded. MLB FREE AGENTS will be eligible in our first draft. They are not eligible to be kept on their previous team. Rosters will lock on January 1st to allow for predraft research. The Minor League Draft will be a slow draft beginning on January 4, 2016 and run on Fantrax. By February 7th, if it looks like the draft won't finish by the 14th, we will take a 2 day break for pre-ranking and put a 1 hr max on the draft clock. On February 15th, 2016 the Major League draft will begin in the Fantrax draft room. It will be a slow 12 hr draft. After 10 rounds, the draft time will pause for 3 days to allow for more pre-ranking as the draft clock is reduced to 1 hr. (draft will pause daily from 12am ET -6am ET)

Ahh, I was reading 10 / 20 from the constitution page. In the 15 initial keepers which can be made up of any level, could a team initially keep 15 major leaguers, even though in following years the max for majors is 10?

You would end up drafting 20 rounds in minor league draft then and only 10 in major league draft.

So could we have trades in place for when the LOCK happens? Obviously we can't officially trade until locked.
Or is that considered some sort of collusion or slap on hand worthy.

There will be no trading until both drafts are done. Reminder: Any selling trades will be denied until there's a post up in 'I'm selling' for 24 hrs. It really will help with tension caused by the inevitable dump trades. While I'd prefer (and I won't do them personally) if there weren't premade trades in place early, I certainly would never know.
I believe in free trading so don't misunderstand. Build as you see fit. I'm not a trade vetoer!!

Thanks for answer to all questions
