Title says it all. There should be no limitations or moratorium on roster movement. If i want to trade my pick on draft day then I should be able to. It happens on draft day in the MLB and every other dynasty league I have been in. Why not this one?
If you have a problem with draft taking forever because of trades then drastically change the timer. Everyone has said it takes to long right now and an average draft time of 1:30 isn't gonna change anytime soon with a 4 hour or 6 hour clock. Make it an hour and let it ride. I believe everyone has at least thought the MLB draft hardly matters after round 2 so why put so much emphasis on it. Allow for the real roster development through trades/post draft waiver pickups.
The argument that people need time to prepare seems over the top. Everyone is so involved at this point and the player pool is so shallow does anyone seriously need 2 weeks to determine if they should take Tyler Anderson or Brandon Finnegan with their first round pick? No.

The argument that people need time to prepare seems over the top. Everyone is so involved at this point and the player pool is so shallow does anyone seriously need 2 weeks to determine if they should take Tyler Anderson or Brandon Finnegan with their first round pick? No. The MLB does not fully allow the trading of draft picks. Only the competitive balance picks. And I don't know if those get traded on draft day. I typically watch the MLB draft and cant ever remember it happening while it was going on. I could be wrong as I am not 100% confident on the comp balance trading on draft day, I am just saying I cant remember seeing it. It would get messy if we did it here too. What happens when 2 teams agree to a trade with 5 minutes left on the draft clock and one of the commissioners cant get around to push the trade through. We are here as much as we can be but we cant sit around 24/7 staring to make sure we can push a trade through at the last possible second. Sure you can say all trades should go through immediately but when you're in a league with 30 owners, many of whom you don't know, there is a chance that two teams are just trying to stack a team. Or you have to be aware of an owner ruining a team. Like trading Mike Trout and getting next to nothing in return. Issue with an hour timer is in the first maybe 6-8 picks a team's draft actually do matter. At that point you are still filling out your starting lineup. You can say that you aren't drafting good players, but good is relative in a 30-team league. If you aren't near a computer and 10-15 picks go quickly before you and you have an hour to pick say at 6 in the morning and your pick times out at 7 it could hamper your roster. I get it that you should have a queue ready but when there is a huge run on a position and maybe only one of that position as a viable starter left that could change your queue. Maybe there's six catchers left that you could survive having, then there is a run where five of them go. You had a random pitcher in your queue but now you cant afford to lose out on that catcher. Things change quickly. Once you get to round 10 or so, sure. At that point you should just be taking what you view is the best player available. I know you're a rebuilding team and it doesn't really matter as much to you right now, but it makes a big difference to someone in contention. For what it is worth I am saying this as the quickest drafter here and in reality this wouldn't change much for me, I think my longest pick took like half an hour. If anything speeding it up benefits me more than anyone else, I just want to be fair to the other guys. Finally would it be awesome if we could all pick a day and five hours to draft and pound this out all at once? Absolutely. But it just isn't possible in a 30-team league. People all around the world with really varying schedules force a slow draft to happen.

I really don't care about the what we do draft wise. My comments were just directed at the obvious disdain for the process we currently under. All the complaints in this league then do something drastic or just say this is the process deal with it lol
My main concern is the suspension of trades. I understand not doing draft trades. That's fine. But suspending trading predraft? It's a literal shut down of the league.
