Does every trade have to be put on the "selling thread" here before it can be accepted?
What if you are looking to trade player A for player B but then a minor league guy is thrown in to seal the deal. Would you really have to list all the people involved in the trade before it can be accepted?
For example what if you do a 3 for 3 trade but you were only intending to trade one of the players but decided on giving up 2 others.
Just curious.

If I understand correctly any trade is considered a "sell" so you have to list all the players involved in the trade no matter what.
Even if you decided to "give up" (I assume you mean drop?) the two players they are still being traded so must be posted in the "Sell" forum.

Example: I'm the A's and I'm likely going to sell..
I will once the drafts are done, announce that I am selling and that my intention is to deal major league ready talent for prospects or youth.
That frees me up to do my trades once 24 hours has passed since posting. After 7 days my post expires and I'll have to do it again
I wouldn't need to list every player, but it would be a smart plan to mention Sonny Gray for example to get more interest. If I end up expanding the deal to include Ryan Madson for example without listing him that would technically be ok.
The whole purpose is that people get MAD when deals appear lopsided in dynasty leagues, usually because they wish they could have offered more for the deal. Every person (me too!!!) would want to know if a top pitcher was available if they were competing, hopefully before that pitcher is traded for a package that we'd have offered more for. This won't stop all trade squabbles, but at least it prevents that major one.

So we don't have to negotiate in the posting, just note that we are "selling". Then negotiations happen via pm etc and the deal can be done. With everyone who wants to offer doing so.
Does this need to be done for all trades example if I reach out to Harper's owner and we do a Harper - Goldy trade, would I first have to post that I'm selling goldy (I'm not selling goldy btw)?
Edit: I like the idea of knowing when people are selling, especially for rebuilding. Should help everyone.

Don't need to do for all trades, just dump trades. If you are unsure, it's likely safest to post. ie If its Harper for Wil Myers and Manuel Margot, one could call that selling. So I'd request you post your selling intent here for 24 hrs before I approve it. (which may not get a deal done in time for a weekly lineup for example) No one would question a Harper/Fernandez deal as selling for an another example
